London Pottery: A Legacy of Craftsmanship

The rich heritage of London Pottery traces back to its roots as Potters of Hockley, a family-run business established in 1909 by Inifer Potter and his wife, Elizabeth. What began as a humble general store evolved over generations into a beloved institution, deeply ingrained in the fabric of the local community.

In the 1920s, amidst the backdrop of a rapidly changing world, Potters of Hockley flourished under Inifer's visionary leadership. Innovations like doorstep delivery and unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service became hallmarks of the business, setting the stage for its enduring legacy.

The transition to the post-war era saw Denys Potter, Inifer's son, at the helm of Potters of Hockley. With a keen eye for modernization, Denys transformed the store into a beacon of progress, expanding its offerings to include top-quality hardware and cookware.

In 2008, Clive Potter, the third generation of Potters, embarked on a new chapter, infusing fresh energy into the business by introducing the decorating center. This marked the beginning of a period of growth and innovation, culminating in the launch of the Cookshop in 2012.

In the modern era, Potters Cookshop stands as a testament to resilience and adaptability, continuously evolving to meet the needs of its discerning customers. From VIP events to cooking demonstrations and online platforms, Potters Cookshop remains committed to providing unparalleled service and quality products.

As Potters Cookshop looks towards the future, its legacy of craftsmanship and community engagement serves as a guiding light, ensuring that the spirit of innovation and excellence continues to thrive for generations to come.
